The Un-American Patriot
If I am to believe the recent statements by extremely liberal members of the US Congress, then I am un-American. Apparently I am un-American for daring to disagree with their policies. I am also apparently a racist for disagreeing with the President (POS POTUS). So in that vein I am penning this blog in an effort to clear my good name.
Uber Liberal Nancy Peolsi and her lap dog Steny Hoyer have penned an article in the USA Today http://blogs.usatoday.com/oped/2009/08/unamerican-attacks-cant-derail-health-care-debate-.html where they assert that those of us that are attacking the health care debate as "un-American". I am still trying to figure out how speaking up for ones views is un-American. I recall learning in American History that a handful of brave men once stood for their beliefs and spoke out against the status quo, bringing freedom for millions in the future by doing so.
So lets look at this particular article (quotes from the article are in italics) and see if we can dissect it based upon the current bill that is before Congress.
"The first fact is that health insurance reform will mean more patient choice. It will allow every American who likes his or her current plan to keep it. And it will free doctors and patients to make the health decisions that make the most sense, not the most profits for insurance companies."
Obama has in the past expressed his desire to create a single payer system, where Insurance companies will be forced out of business. Every universal health care in existence on this planet has story after story of people being denied the very procedures we now enjoy based on some committee's decision. Do a search of any socialized health care system and do the research yourself. Under socialized health care, there will be NO patient choice. You will do as the government says, as will your doctor.
Reform will mean stability and peace of mind for the middle class.
To follow the largest tax increase in history disguised as the Waxman Energy bill with socialized health care is completely ludicrous. Any student of basic economics can tell you that this current rate of spending simply cannot be sustained. The left would have you believe that all of this will be paid for by the "rich" in this country. If you take those that make over $150,000 a year you will have roughly 13% of the wage earners. So are we to believe that 13% of the country is going to pay for health care for all? These people are the owners of small business, which will suffer greatly under both bills, so there go his wages. They are the owners of large corporations that put American's to work. Do we really want to force this group of people out of the country? The Congressional Budget Office, which is a non-partisan group, has already reported that there will have to be a tax hike on the middle class. Now think about your taxes going up at this particular moment in time. I don't know about you but I don't have extra money just lying around. Now couple that with the increase you will see under the Waxman Energy Bill, where your power bill could easily triple if the bill is passed. Still not feeling it?
Reform will mean affordable coverage for all Americans.
Reform will cost large amounts of money in one way or another. It simply cannot be done with the current amount of funding available to Congress. I mean who are we kidding? This administration has blown TRILLIONS of dollars in an effort to prop up the banking industry, buy out the car manufacturers, and rescue Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac etc. So where will the funding come from? Sure it may be free medical care...in the beginning...but I assure you, you will pay more for it than you will ever imagine possible. Also, this health care debate is not only going to benefit Americans. The pro illegal immigrant group La Nuestra has met with Pelosi asking that wording be placed in the bill allowing illegal immigrants to benefit from universal health care. Oddly enough Pelosi told them that she couldn't not place that particular wording into the bill but for them not to worry as it would cover illegal immigrants. So when you consider the 50 million they say is without health care consider the 20-25 million illegals in this country and there is at least half of that number.
The article goes on to say this month, despite the disruptions, members of Congress will listen to their constituents back home and explain reform legislation. We are confident that our principles of affordable, quality health care will stand up to any and all critics. People, they just do not get it. They cannot believe that the 'sheeple" of this country would dare to speak out against their appointed leaders. The leaders of this country apparently know what is best for us and how dare we question their motives! What gall!
The thing that strikes me as ironic is that the public outcry was basically designed and exploited by the left since the Vietnam War. The use of swarm and mob tactics was born from their very own minds. However, now that it is being used against them, it is somehow un-American. Another irony is that all of the left windbags held up this eloquent "community organizer" to the world as the savior of the US of A. Now that the "community" is being organized against them and their "savior" it is somehow un-American. Does anyone else see the irony here?
Last week the White House website placed a blog on one of its pages asking for people to report "fishy" emails, conversations etc in regards to health care. Now they say that they will not log any information received form the emails or save them. According to law, ALL correspondence to and from the White House must be logged and saved for the National Archives. So we're going to trample all over the 1st Amendment or disobey that particular law. Which is it going to be? I am quiet certain I have been reported. So certain that in one of my mass emailings I stated that anyone no longer wishing to receive my emails for fear of reprisal only needed to inform me and I would remove them from the list. No one let me know they wished to be removed.
Not to toot my own horn, but when you finish reading this blog, scroll down to the one I wrote on November 1, 2008. I sounded the alarm loudly and was scoffed at by some. We are headed down a dangerous path, one in which I always say is one we may never recover from. I continue to shout the alarm from the rooftops and will continue to do so. Even when, which is quiet often, I feel as a voice crying out in the wilderness.
So, if speaking out against this administration makes me un-American, then so be it. If speaking out against their policies is un-American, then so be it. If standing for my beliefs and the beliefs this nation was founded upon is un-American, then so be it. I, however, feel that makes me a true American and a patriot, and in that spirit will I fight tooth and nail against this country taking her final dying breath.

We the People
Topic: Patriotism
We the People

We the People, in order to form a more perfect Union, establish justice, insure domestic tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general welfare, and secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.
Perhaps no other preamble in the history of the world says so much with so few words. This basic paragraph has the capability to stir ones emotions and love of country like no other. These simple words, joined together in gentle yet powerful prose, have echoed the cause of freedom across the globe since the first quill was drawn across the parchment in 1787.
In the preceding years, the young land that would become the most powerful nation on earth, began to suffer under the yoke of tyranny. A handful of brave and just men set the wheels into motion for the freedom that we enjoy today. Launching upon a course that would have them labeled as traitors and treasonous, these men stood firm in their cause against great odds. Their path was one that would either end in total freedom from tyranny or death. So against great odds and a determined and well trained foe, the birth of America began with blood being shed upon her soil. From this spilled blood would sprout the spirit and pride of America.

This fragile document has been the very basis and backbone of our nation since its ratification by the delegates of the National Convention. Against all odds the birth of America was complete. Pride in country was solidified. America the Beautiful had become a reality.

Through the early years of her life, America would experience growing pains but the pride of her people would not be broken. During these formidable years, tyranny would again rear its ugly head.
The people of America stood by and watched as the tyranny swept across the globe and countless souls stood and demanded that America and her freedom stand with the oppressed. However early on it was not to be and tyranny continued unabated.
On the morning of December 7, 1941, the people of the United States mainland were just beginning to awaken to a day of freedom and liberty. The citizens of Hawaii were awakening to a beautiful day that would quickly to into a nightmare of lessons learned when tyranny is not stopped in its tracks.

Shortly after the attack at Pearl Harbor, American pride was honed and the spirit of freedom would begin its journey around the globe. Being borne by the greatest generation this country has ever known.

The blood of America’s sons and daughters would water the seeds of that freedom.

The American pride and spirit would overcome the tyranny that had gripped the world and destroyed the lives of millions of people.

Through the years, America has stood for freedom. That stance has angered those that would once again bring about tyranny and the shedding of innocent blood. When anyone mentions the date of September 11, 2001, nearly every American can say without doubt exactly where they were on that fateful day.

Do you remember the images? Do you remember the feeling? Do you remember the fear as the realization sudden crossed your mind of what was happening?

Do you remember the lives lost? Do you remember the pride every time you saw the flag or heard of the heroism for days afterward? Have you forgotten now?

Now, on this weekend when we celebrate the birth of our nation tyranny is once again rearing its head and focusing its gaze upon us and those that would be free.

The time is nearing when we have to ask ourselves this question: Do we approve of where our nation is headed? Can we really just sit across a table from tyrants and reach a common ground? Do we approve of the massive spending? Do we approve of the increasing overreaching of the government into the private sector? Controlling business? Controlling banking? These seemingly innocuous steps are the very foundation of socialism.
Do we dare utter beliefs that some would consider treasonous? Do we love this country or just its government? Does the flag fly for us all or does it now represent a rudderless country set assail upon the waves of socialism and appeasement.
Many will say, oh there is nothing we can do or it really doesn’t affect me. I for one am thankful that great men, men of character and men of destiny did not utter those phrases so long ago. For if they had, where might we be today?
Over sixty-five years ago, the greatest generation ever known fought and died for these ideals of freedom. Years from now, will our children look back and perhaps mention us and the stand we took among those heroes? Or will they look back and wonder what their lives could have been like of only someone would have taken a stand.

The flag is to be inverted in times of crisis. We are rapidly approaching that point.

A Nation In Debt (Forever)
In the waning hours of Thursday April 2nd, Congress passed the 3.66 trillion dollar spending orgy being referred to as the budget by a vote of 233-196. The Republicans were unanimous in their opposition and twenty Democrats broke with their party and voted against the orgy..er..budget. Upon the budgets passage, Republican Senate Leader Senator Mitch McConnell of Kentucky said “Over bipartisan opposition, Democrats in Congress passed a budget that clears the way for massive amounts of spending, for the biggest tax hike in history and a doubling of our already crippling national debt. It is a budget that puts the economy on an unsustainable course”. Republicans were also able to slam the door on a fast track process to run through a national energy tax. This tax would have hit you every time you turned on your TV, flipped a light switch or drove your car. But don’t be surprised if it doesn’t rear its head again.
That’s right ladies and gentlemen, the largest tax hike in history! Times are tough for all of us. So the “leadership” in control right now figured the way out of it would be to raise taxes. Again, where on this planet does this make sense?
The 3.66 trillion dollar budget includes a deficit of 1.2 trillion dollars! Which means that one-third of the budget spending is money we don’t have! Take the 1.2 trillion dollar deficit and add that to the 12 trillion we already owe!
Trillion? It has apparently become the new billion. The amount is thrown around by the “leadership” and talking heads like it is nothing. I call this the dumbing down of America. Most psychologists will tell you that in order for an individual (or in this case individuals) to no longer be bothered by something the answer is to constantly expose and bombard them with it. It’s kind of along the same lines that a sexual predator does to his intended victim. They desensitize them to what is eventually going to happen. Therefore resistance is minimal at best when the time comes. Americans are being desensitized and are about to be raped!
This deficit “budget” and bail outs, hand outs and general wasteful spending are debts that not even your grandchildren will be able to repay. At this very moment, every man, woman and child in this nation owes $35,000.00 and the debt continues to pile up on them! So much for the American Dream right?
Alexis de Tocqueville said "Great nations rise and fall. The people go from bondage to spiritual truth, to great courage, from courage to liberty, from liberty to abundance, from abundance to selfishness, from selfishness to complacency, from complacency to apathy, from apathy to dependence, from dependence back again to bondage" With a report stating that 1 in 10 Americans are on Food Stamps (low figure if you ask me) we are knee deep in the dependency stage. Nationalized Health Care is a small step away which will not only create a “who lives or dies” fiasco but will increase the dependency of Americans. Bondage is a very real and very close next step.
The massive budget is not even counting the “Climate Revenues” of over $645 Billion. The overview describes “Climate Revenues” as “proceeds from auctioning emission allowances” which is basically the Carbon Tax that every American will be forced to pay because it is a pass on tax to the consumer.
So the budget at minimum includes a $1.6 trillion in new taxes and we have yet to add in the assorted “fees”, “leases” and other “initiatives”. It also includes the start of the global warming taxation scheme and the foundation for socialized health care.
The thing that keeps echoing in my head are the words of British statesman Edmund Burke:” Evil flourishes when good men do nothing”. So in that vein, if you simply read this blog and chose to do nothing, not even let your voice be heard then you are already desensitized. Better grab the lubricant!

The End Of The Nation As We Know It
THE END OF THE NATION AS WE KNOW IT?
On Monday November 4th, American’s across the nation will cast their vote for one of two widely differing candidates. The potential ramifications of an Obama/Biden presidency is frightening at the very least. Obviously, they have their supporters, but when pressed throughout the entire campaign the only reason they can give for their support is “he will bring about change.” Unfortunately, that is exactly the case. But what kind of change can we expect from a possible Obama/Biden administration? This blog is going to attempt to answer that very question.
Change #1- In a US News and World Report article on Friday October 24th, it has been discovered that Congress are actively discussing the takeover of 401K’s across the country and replace them with a 2nd quasi Social Security system. A system in which the government will effectively take control of the retirement savings of millions of Americans. Since the current Social Security system will more than likely not be around when I reach retirement age, obviously the government will do an outstanding job with your 401k plans. Oddly enough, Argentina’s President Fernandez just authorized the take over of their citizen’s private retirement funds to access the $29 billion they contain. US News and World Report.
Change #2- Raising taxes to pay for new spending. Obama has stated that he would raise tax rates on capital gains (Capital gains are commonly taxes paid on profits from the sale of an asset that was purchased at a lower price, most commonly stocks, bonds etc.), dividends and individuals making over $250,000. Although Biden stated just recently that the amount would actually be $150,000. What is not being widely publicized is his promise to not renew the Bush tax cuts that we fall under and that were enacted in 2000. He has stated that he would not renew the Bush tax cuts when they are set to expire on January 1, 2011. The non-renewal will affect each and everyone of you! But, by just not renewing the tax cuts, he is keeping his promise to not raise your taxes. It is semantics at its finest. They’re not being raised, just allowed to rise back to pre 2000 levels. Also, under the Obama tax plan, low income workers would get a credit that would basically refund most of their Social Security taxes.
The Tax Policy Center estimates that Obama’s plan would amount to about $600 billion in new spending. The planned tax hikes will only cover about half of that, not considering the recent downturn in the market. Where will the remainder of it come from? Your 401k’s? And this isn’t even figuring the other large items promised by Obama during his campaign. Typical leftist agenda. Big government with their hands in your pocket.
Once Obama and Biden are in office they will sell the large items promised but will bemoan the lack of funding to pay for them. Then they will retreat on their promise and raise your taxes and mine.
Change #3 Taking over the banks Obama will more than likely will impose new terms on the banks that are currently being rescued by the Federal Government. He has already suggested that banks observe a 90 day moratorium on foreclosures. According to officials, the nations largest banks would then have a government mission, a profit motive, and taxpayer backing in case of failure. With their power to dictate lending decisions to banks, what could go wrong? ACORN has already been largely credited with pressuring banks to increase their high risk loans to low income families in an effort for “equality.” Now those “equal” families are in a house they cannot afford and the bank is knocking at the door to foreclose.
Change #4 Reinstate the offshore drilling ban. It goes without saying that drilling offshore and in ANWR will not solve our energy crisis. However, it is definitely a step in the right direction. The futures market is what drives the price of crude oil up. With the potential of more barrels of oil being produced in the US and being placed on the market, the futures prices would drop. It is Supply and Demand 101. However, with the Obama/Biden administration and the potential addition of Democratic Senate seats the ban would be reinstated, thereby driving up the futures price yet again.
Change #5 An assault on basic life Obama has already said that he will review every one of Bush’s executive orders when he is in office. One that he will most likely start with is the one regarding federal funding of research that destroys human embryos. Bush’s executive order makes two important claims: The destruction of life for research violates the principal that no life should be used as a means for achieving the medical benefit of another and human embryos and fetuses, as members of the human species are not raw materials to be exploited or commodities to be bought and sold. Obama will likely revoke these executive orders and any other that displeases the abortion lobbyist. Any policies that protect the rights of pro-life pharmacists and physicians will likely also be revoked. The Freedom of Choice Act that puts all branches of the federal government on record as supporting late term abortion and makes all levels of government pay for abortions will also be enacted. If you have never researched late term abortion and how horrible it is take a chance and Google it. Be warned however, the procedure is horrendous and is paramount to murder of an unborn child!
Change #6 A complete and cowardly withdrawal of forces from Iraq Whether you agree or disagree with the war, we are there and have men and women in harms way. The complete unequivocal withdrawal of our forces will embolden our enemies and give them years of propaganda to use in their quest for world domination. It simply cannot be allowed to happen!
Change #7 Government funded and mandated healthcare While I will agree that someone without healthcare is unfortunate, there are programs already in place to assist those individuals. Medicare and Medicaid to name two. These two hugely beuracratic government programs work like a finely tuned machine. OK I almost said that with a straight face. I can’t believe that a large portion of Americans would be comfortable allowing the government to handle their healthcare needs. Think about Obama’s stance on life taken just from his abortion stances. What is to stop the government from deciding you do not deserve the care you need. Think about this for a moment. Your mother or other aged loved one is in need of a particular type of procedure that would save their life. The federal government has put in place caps on all procedures that place a maximum on how many of these types of procedures can be performed. At the same time, across the country, a young man (or woman) is in need of the same procedure. Government must now decide who gets the procedure. An elderly person, who has lived their life, or a young person that can contribute to “the whole”. Who do you think they are going to chose?
If you think that it is the responsibility of the government to provide healthcare for its citizens then McCain is still the proper choice. Consider the following facts about McCain’s healthcare proposal:
More Choices
Greater tax benefits (average $1200 benefit for families)
Strengthens employer coverage
Does not tax premiums or employers providing coverage
No reduction of Medicare benefits
Credit goes to the Company the American family chooses
Builds on the employer based system
Under Obama’s plan, is a $179 billion a year employer mandate. This mandate requires employers to either provide “meaningful” coverage or pay a tax towards the government plan. Faced with tough economic times and rising health costs this creates an incentive for employers to drop coverage and move families into the new government plan. A Lewis Group study concluded that 52 million individuals will lose their private employer coverage. To maintain competitiveness, more and more employers will follow suit, spelling the demise of the employer coverage system. Once the private system is dead and gone, mother America now has the complete power over your healthcare needs! Obama’s government run healthcare will cost roughly $243 billion per year. An average financial burden of more than $3,000 a year on American families. Again I ask, where will all of this money come from since they are not going to raise taxes? I think you know the answer.
We all are now familiar with the wealth spreading comment uttered by Obama over the last few weeks, as well as the illegal investigations into the background of Plumber Joe. Wealth redistribution and the demonizing of individual achievers is straight out of the Socialist playbook. In fact, just this week while on the stump, Obama basically said that those that wish to keep their hard earned money and not pay higher taxes are selfish. What little I have I would like to keep. You want more? Get a job!
Most of America has decided who they are going to vote for. However there are multitudes of undecided out there. This group is who this blog is intended to target. Unfortunately, it appears as if the Obama camp is going to steal this election. Early voter turnout has broken records with Democrats allegedly being ahead. However this is based on poll data that the mainstream media has distorted constantly in an effort to sway the undecided and get the McCain or Barr supporters to stay home. Don’t let the mainstream media sway you! Interestingly enough, a Zogby poll released today (11-01-08) shows McCain has pulled ahead 48-47. Perhaps the swooning of the media over Obama has finally backfired!
We are at a crossroads unlike any other we have ever encountered. Are there things about McCain that concern me? Of course there is. McCain is not nearly conservative enough for my taste. But, there are multitudes of things about Obama that concern me. Not withstanding his sudden, almost “miraculous” rise to the top the shear liberal thinking scares me. Then there are the people he chooses to surround himself with: Rev. Wright, Bill Ayers, Rashid Khalidi (former spokesperson for the Palestinian Liberation Organization which was at the time considered a terrorist organization), and Louis Farrakhan the National Representative for the Nation of Islam. The amount of damage Obama and a democratically controlled House and Senate will cause to this nation can never be repaired. The shear amount of handouts and programs that people will grow to depend on will never be stopped. Think about this for a moment. You are the owner of a company and you give your employees every Friday off for years. Then after several years you decide this is unproductive and now all employees must work on Friday. What kind of backfire can you expect from your employees? Now think along those lines with millions and millions of employees. Now you are starting to see the picture. The programs will never be stopped, more and more money will be required to run them. Under the “Fairness Doctrine” (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fairness_doctrine) Fox News, Sean Hannity, Rush Limbaugh, Mark Levin and any other Conservative talk show will eventually be shut down. Then we are truly on the path to Socialism and the complete and irreparable collapse of this once great nation. This simply cannot be allowed to happen.
Please do your part and vote! If Obama wins the election then so be it. After all the greatest power in the universe actually calls the shots and with the way America has become, she is in need of discipline. The discipline will be harsh and it will be cruel. But it will eventually end, as will America.

Topic: Presidential Candidates
THE FACTS
In this Presidential election, there are two choices: John McCain (an American hero that has proven he is willing to step outside his party’s lines and work for the good of the people, and Barak Hussein Obama (why can’t we use his full name?), who in my opinion is a grave danger to our country. If you have read my past blogs then you know my feelings on Obama. He is nothing more than an empty suit. He promises “change” but what exactly is his idea of change? A change in the way the majority of Americans live? A change in the stance against our sworn enemies? What exactly is the change? Oddly enough, even though people say they are going to vote for him they can’t answer that question. They may mumble something about change from the Bush administration. I will admit that there have been things that Bush has done that I did not agree with. However, the war on terror is not one of those things! How many times have terrorists stuck on American soil since he took office? 09-11-01, that was the first and last time. In my position, I receive alerts and reports from various governmental agencies. You have no idea how many attacks have been prevented due to the Bush policies and the Patriot Act. But Democrats would gladly shut down the Patriot act if they could. Any wonder why the Democratic controlled House and Senate have the lowest approval ratings in history?
All my life I have heard that a person is known by the party they keep. Let’s take a look at the people that Obama has kept in his close circle of friends (until it appeared that his relationship with them would jeopardize his election).

As many of you are aware, Wright was (see above note for why he “no longer is”) Obama’s pastor and spiritual mentor for twenty years. All of you have seen the videos and heard the “sermons” so there really isn’t need to discuss them here. I will however discuss the “theology” behind Wright, who as I stated was extremely close to Obama, and likely still is just not in public.
Wright started the Trinity United Church of Christ in Chicago on March 1, 1972. The church’s mission statement (which you can find by clicking the name above) is based upon Black Liberation Theology. Black Liberation Theology has its roots in Marxism which among its many tenants include: A belief that capitalism is based on the exploitation of workers by the owners of the means of production. If you think about it that is where Obama leans. Rich people should be punished for being rich and their rewards handed out to the less fortunate. Never mind the fact that the rich usually get that way by working hard and climbing the social ladder (except those born into a trust fund which never learn how to work). The Conservative view of success is how many people no longer need government assistance while the Liberal idea is the more people they are providing help for the more successful they are. Talk about a screwed up philosophy.
Black Liberation Theology was systemized by author James Cone in his book Black Theology and Black Power (1969). Cone first addressed the theology after Malcolm X’s proclamation that Christianity is a “white man’s religion”. In fact Cone stated that Malcolm X was “not far wrong” in stating that “black theology refuses to accept a God who is not identified totally with the goals of the black community. If God is not for us and against white people, then he is a murderer and we had better kill him”. Now ask yourself this. Obama attended this church for several years, Wright was a close friend and spiritual adviser to Obama, but he would have us believe that he never heard Wright express any of the things that were released to the media? Talk about wanting us to drink the Kool Aid. The very church itself is based on the theology! If you wish to study more about Black Liberation Theology then click the link in the above paragraph for information from Wikipedia, where some of this information was gathered.
Still not convinced he is even more dangerous than your run of the mill liberal? Remember that Black Liberation Theology has its roots in Marxism? There are photographs (not doctored) all over the web showing Che Guevera flags hanging in his campaign offices

Che Guevera once said "The U.S. is the great enemy of mankind!" raved Ernesto "Che" Guevara in 1961. "Against those hyenas there is no option but extermination. We will bring the war to the imperialist enemies' very home, to his places of work and recreation. The imperialist enemy must feel like a hunted animal wherever he moves. Thus we'll destroy him! We must keep our hatred against them [the U.S.] alive and fan it to paroxysms!" Sound familiar? Sort of like Islamic terrorists?
During the Cuban Missile crisis Che Guevera stated: "If the nuclear missiles had remained we would have fired them against the heart of the U.S. including New York City," he boasted. "The victory of socialism is well worth millions of atomic victims." Guevera wished for a world dominated by socialism, a form of Marxism. Che Guevera flags in a campaign office? Makes you wonder just what change he has in mind doesn’t it.
William Ayers
Ayers is a “distinguished” professor at the University of Illinois at Chicago. In the 1960’s and 1970’s he was involved in violent activism. In 1969 he co-founded the militant radical left group called Weatherman which was later changed to the Weather Underground Organization. The Organizations founding document called for the establishment of a “white fighting force” to be allied with the “Black Liberation Movement” and other “anti-colonial” movements to achieve “the destruction of US imperialism and achieve a classless world: world communism.
The group carried out a program of bombings, jailbreaks and riots. They bombed government buildings to include the Pentagon and the US Capitol, banks, Police Departments, state and federal courthouses and state prison offices.
In 2001, Ayers stated in an interview that he “didn’t regret setting the bombs” and that “I feel that we didn’t do enough.” Ayers and Obama served together on the Woods Fund Board from 1999 until Obama left in 2002. Ayers also hosted Obama’s first fund raising reception in his first Illinois State Senate campaign in 1995. Obama has “criticized” Ayers for his actions but it just leaves more questions than answers.
Campaign Funds
Obama’s list of Campaign Contributions reads like a list of who’s who among the Hollywood elite. I don’t know about you but I can’t imagine sitting around thinking about who a particular actor is going to vote for so I can emulate them. That list includes Oprah Winfrey, who has refused to have Sarah Palin on the show because she doesn’t want to use the show for political reasons…unless of course it’s having Obama on there. Among the list of donors, there are two that issues have been raised about. What? You haven’t seen it in the media…wonder why? Palestinian brothers Edwin Monir and Edwan Hosam donated $29,500 to Obama’s campaign and listed their state as Georgia. In fact the brothers made the donations from inside the Hamas controlled Gaza Strip. They said that they purchased Obama T-shirts to sell in Gaza. You can see the proof of the donations here:
Campaign donations . In fact go to the Campaign Contributions above and just read through the lists of names that have donated. The brother’s contributions open the door for questions about how lax the donation site is for Obama. Donations from outside the US are illegal but the site doesn’t stop it. Now why would Palestinians in Hamas controlled Gaza donate to the Obama campaign? Answer that one for yourself!
In closing I wish to provide just a little more insight into Obama, by providing some of the quotes from his books: Dreams From My Father and The Audacity of Hope;Thoughts on reclaiming The American Dream.
“I will stand with the Muslims should the political winds shift in an ugly direction”
“My friends we live in the greatest nation in the world. I hope you will join me as we try to change it” (What?)
“I ceased to advertise my mother’s race at the age of twelve or thirteen, when I began to suspect that by so doing I was ingratiating myself to whites”
“I found solace in nursing a pervasive sense of grievance and animosity against my mother’s race”
“To avoid being mistaken for a sellout, I chose my friends carefully. The more politically active black students. The foreign students. The Chicanos. The Marxist Professors and structural feminists.
The call to Islamic prayer is” one of the prettiest sounds on Earth at sunset”
Lastly a few quotes from his wife, Michelle:
“For the first time in my adult life I am proud of my country, because it feels like hope is making a comeback”
"The truth is most Americans don't want much. Folks don't want the whole pie. Most Americans feel blessed to thrive a little bit, but that's out of reach for them. The truth is, in order to get things like universal health care and a revamped education system, someone is going to have to give up a piece of their pie so that someone else can have more." (Marxism at it’s finest)

The Issues
Mood:
not sure
Topic: Presidential Candidates
Prelude
Many of you have asked when I was going to begin blogging again. In all honesty, partly due to not being able to find the time to properly give the blog the attention it and you deserve it has also been hard to rekindle the fire that I once enjoyed. Part of the reason is the media’s unashamedly biased coverage of Obama and the public’s willingness to be spoon fed all of his hype. People I have known for years are falling victim to his “all style and no substance” persona that it is depressing. As I have stated in the past, I am but a small voice crying out in the wilderness and may not be able to convince most readers that Obama is just plain wrong for our nation. But if I can change one then the effort is worth it. It is with that in mind that I attempt to return to my writing and try to make a difference. As always, I welcome your debate and your comments. If you agree, disagree or enjoy the blogs please let me know! You don’t realize how big a part each of you play in providing me with the desire to continue writing. Thanks!
The Endorsement
As most of you know, I have never been real big on McCain. Although I praise him for his sacrifice to this country, he has at times appeared to be Republican in name only. In spite of our differences in certain issues, I have had to weigh the differences and see which side one. Therefore, I have decided to support McCain for President (his recent decision to choose Palin as the VP has really helped with this decision). With this in mind, some of you may think there is going to be a fantastic right lean to this blog. But unlike the mainstream media, I will put forth both sides, warts and all. This is done in an effort to inform and allow you to make the decision for yourselves. You will not find any spoon feeding here!
The Issues
Obviously McCain and Obama are as different as night and day in the political arena but what do you really know about their stances on the issues? Below are some issues that may be of importance to some or all of you. The responses are from the candidates themselves and are a matter of public record. When applicable, a hyperlink is provided for you to do you your own research.
Bioethics / Stem Cells and Embryos (Research): Sen. McCain supports allowing access to Federal dollars for the following research: Adult stem cell research, Leftover embryos derived from in vitro fertilization, Embryo destructive research and umbilical cord blood banks
Sen. Obama supports allowing access to Federal dollars for the following research: Therapeutic Cloning, Leftover embryos derived from in vitro fertilization, Embrto destructive research and umbilical cord blood banks
Obama would not support a federal law that prohibits the states from engaging in research in which a human embryo is destroyed. McCain gave no response on the issue.
McCain would support a federal law prohibiting reproductive cloning and cloning for research. Obama would not support such a law.
Neither candidate would support or continue President Bush’s ban on the use of federal funds for research on human embryonic stem cell lines created after August 2001.
Judicial Issues: Obama would appoint as judges, men and women who interpret a law in accordance with their personal beliefs 1. McCain has stated that he would appoint men and women as judges that interpret the law as it is written.
Women’s Health: McCain does not support Medicaid funded abortions. Obama, however does support it.
McCain would support laws requiring abortion clinics to show all women an ultrasound image of their unborn baby. Obama did not respond to the question.
Family and Parental Rights: Obama opposes a federal parental notification law 2. McCain would support the law.
Abstinence and Marriage Education: Obama would not fight to protect the integrity of federally defined abstinence-until-marriage education. McCain states that he would fight to protect the education.
Promoting Stronger Marriages: Neither candidate supports a US amendment to define and protect marriage as a union between one man and one woman.
The Federal Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA) declares marriage to be the union of one man and one woman for all purposes of the federal government and declares that states do not have to recognize same sex “marriages” from other states. Sen. McCain has stated that he would veto any bill that would weaken any provision of the federal DOMA (Bill HR 3396 ; vote number 1996-280 on Sep 10, 1996). Sen. Obama would support a repeal of the provision of DOMA that defines marriage as the union between one man and one woman for all federal purposes, thus freeing the federal government to give marital benefits to same sex couples. 3 Obama would also support a repeal of the provision of DOMA that declares states do not have to recognize same sex “marriages” from other states, thus leaving courts free to require such recognition under the Constitution’s “full faith and credit clause.
Religious Liberty: Obama does not support the continuation of the Faith Based Initiative (on the federal level) to guarantee the right of religious and social service providers to access federal programs on an equal basis. 4 McCain supports continuing the Faith Based Initiative.
Homosexuality and Special Rights: When asked about their positions on the Employment Non-Discrimination Act (ENDA) which would grant federal civil rights protection on the basis of sexual orientation McCain has stated that he would veto any bill to provide federal civil rights protection on the basis of sexual orientation. McCain would also veto any federal “hate crimes law”, and leave prosecution of such crimes to state and local authorities. Obama would sign a bill that gives federal civil rights protection based on sexual orientation and “gender identity” 5. Obama also would sign a federal hate crimes law that included protections based on sexual orientation and gender identity, as well as signing a bill to overturn the statutory ban on homosexuals serving in the military. McCain would oppose the overturning of the ban.
General Issues: McCain supports federal legislation limiting the ability of government to take private land for private development purposes. Obama did not respond to the question.
Obama opposes repealing the federal estate (death) tax, while McCain supports the tax being repealed.
Both candidates oppose legislative initiatives that emphasize border security over all other forms of immigration reform.
Obama does not support the removal of the federal moratorium on drilling in the Outer Continental Shelf. McCain supports removal of the moratorium.
Both candidates support an immigration system that allows undocumented immigrants, who qualify by not having a decided criminal record, to learn English and become eligible to become US citizens.
Here are some other noteworthy stances by Sen. Obama:
No extra penalty for gang association in crimes
Restrict police entry rules to protect civil liberties
Questioned harsh penalties for drug dealers
Understand why youngsters “want to use drugs”
Voted to ban drilling in Alaska’s National Wildlife Refuge
Casts 130 “present” votes (as opposed to yay or nay) in IL Senate
Endorsed Illinois handgun ban
Wants to renew assault weapon ban and ban semi-automatics
Restore habeas corpus to reach Muslims abroad
Obama-Lugar bill restricted conventional weapons for our military
Supports drivers license for illegal aliens
Voted to continue federal funds for “sanctuary cities” for illegal aliens
Voted to allow illegal aliens to participate in Social Security
Refused to wear a US flag pin
Associate of William Ayres of the Weather Underground that bombed US capital. Stated “Ayres never killed anyone with bombs”
“exposure to Islam taught me that Muslims can partner with us”
Of course I’m not even going to touch the whole Reverend Jeremiah Wright fiasco. But it is ironic that Obama has stated repeatedly that he never heard Wright preach that type of sermon the whole twenty five years he attended there. Talk about not paying attention to the sermon!
As I stated earlier, I may not be able to change your mind on who you are going to vote for. It is my hope that you do not fall victim to the left-winged mainstream medias attempt to circumvent your attempt to gather knowledge of both candidates. Obama definetly is the media darling. But ask yourself, what exactly does he really stand for? Does he truly represent my values? What exactly is his plan for change? Sure he talks about it a lot but exactly how does he plan to go about doing it? Obama is all style and no substance. Please don’t allow yourself to be fooled by all of the smoke and mirrors. Do your own research!
I leave you with one more piece of information. Obama is really planning to disarm America. The question you need to be asking is for what possible reason and for whom? See the video evidence here: Obama's Plan To Disarm America

The Imus Debacle and Double Standards
Topic: The State of America
As you may have already realized, it has been quite some time since my last writing. For some odd reason I just haven’t felt the “writing bug”. Partly I felt as a voice that no one heard. I know there are some that enjoy my writings and thoughts and hopefully, the audience will someday grow. However, I realized that I write mainly for myself. To get it off my chest, so to speak.
This week, I have been somewhat following the Don Imus circus. Now before I even get into this let me insert this disclaimer. I am not a fan of Imus, nor have I ever been a fan of Imus. To be frank I can’t say that I have ever watched or listened to him. So this is not about defending Imus the man. It is more about Freedom of Speech and the double standards that follow it.
In case you have been in a cave, Imus called the Rutgers women’s basketball team “nappy headed ho’s”. Ignorant ranting of an idiot…..perhaps. Deplorable…definitely. However, should his comments be protected by the First Amendment? I say they should. Some of you may be getting a little testy at this point, which is the reason for the article.
The First Amendment gives each of us the right to free speech. However, along with that free speech comes responsibility. Case in point, I can’t run into a crowded theater and yell fire…well I can..because we have free speech, but I would have to suffer the consequences of doing so. CBS radio fired Imus, which is the consequence of his actions. But, the two leading the charge were non other that the Rev. Jesse Jackson and Rec. Al Sharpton. Also weighing in on the issue was Barak Obama and other liberal politicos. Question? Who appointed Jackson and Sharpton the moral authorities for our country?
Lets discuss the double standard here. Imus makes a comment that is viewed as discriminatory and racist and is called to task for it. Surely the self-appointed reverends and moral authority would never do anything remotely similar would they? Right.
In 1987, Sharpton took up the crusade of Tawana Brawley, a 15-year-old black girl who was found smeared with feces, lying in a garbage bag, her clothing torn and burned and with various slurs and epithets written on her body in charcoal. Brawley claimed that she had been assaulted and raped by six white men, some of them police officers, in the town of Wappingers Falls, New York. Including Steven Pagones, who was a prosecutor at the time. Before the case was even being investigated fully, there was Sharpton making appearances and stating for a fact that Pagones and others had raped Brawley and that they were going to get justice. What exactly did they get? A court ordered judgment in the amount of $345,000 for slander. Turns out, the whole thing was a hoax. Surely Sharpton retracted his comments or apologized. Keep dreaming. In 1991 during the Crown Heights riot, Sharpton referred to Jews as “diamond merchants.” He also made comments such as: “if the Jews want to get it on, tell them to pin their yarmulkes back and come over to my house." Wow, what a fantastic contribution to civic peace.
In 1995, in Harlem, Sharpton struck again leading yet another protest. This time, against a black Pentecostal Church, the United House of Prayer. Seems they owned some property located on 125th Street. They asked Fred Harari, the tenant who operated Freddie's Fashion Mart to evict his longtime subtenant, a black record store, The Record Shack. Sharpton told the protesters, "We will not stand by and allow them to move this brother so that some white interloper can expand his business." Who was the “white interloper”? On 1995-12-08, an armed protester, identified as Aboudima Moulika, forcibly entered the store and burned it down, killing himself and seven others. Sharpton claimed that the perpetrator was an open critic of himself and his nonviolent tactics. Sharpton later expressed regret for making the racial reference, "white interloper," and denied responsibility for inflaming or provoking the violence. Well at least he finally “expressed regret”.
In 1994, Sharpton made the statement of “We cannot treat people of different cultures as inferior”. Odd, seems he has done a lot of that. Want some more quotable gems from Sharpton? How about these on various issues: On Crime- “Opposed to death penalty under any circumstances. (Jan 2004), End the death penalty-discriminatory, non-deterrent, wrong. (Jan 2004), “Equal protection under the law, not racial polarization”. (May 2003) Just like Pagones was afforded right? On Drugs-Never smoked marijuana, because he grew up in the church. (Nov 2003) Here he fails to mention the undercover FBI video of him setting up a cocaine deal. On Homeland Security-Eliminate Funding for national missile defense. (Jan 2004), Submit to a world body to combat the terrorists. (Nov 2003) The UN perhaps? We all know how effective they are! Cut defense budget, even if unpopular. (Sep 2003), Military increases have nothing to do with terrorism. (Jan 2002). On Immigration- Relax Mexican border to match Canadian border. (Jan 2004), Current immigration law is discriminatory. (Jan 2003), Immigration system is archaic & biased against Latinos. (Jan 2002).
Indeed our fallible Mr. Sharpton has made quite the habit of contradictory statements. Earlier this month, he was on the O’Reilly Factor and made the comment that his National Action Network will start looking at some of the corporations that backed Imus. Sharpton claimed that some of those corporations owned some of the record companies that record for rap “stars” that consistently denigrate women and promote and glamorize violence. However, in a March 2005 interview with CNN, Sharpton defended rap music but condemned the violence in the industry. Sharpton made it clear that he was not talking about the lyrics, but the violence committed by the “artists” themselves. He even had the audacity to defend the First Amendment rights of the rappers to sing about violent acts. He went on to say “they have the right to talk about the violence they come from. I come from that violence, but I do not have the right to go out and engage in violence, and then ask the federal airwaves to allow me to continue in my career like it's nothing. Again now, I'm not talking about content. I'm talking about actual acts of violence. Are we condoning them by not putting a standard in the business”?
In an April 2005 interview with Hannity and Colmes Sharpton again defended the lyrics using the First Amendment, saying, “People have the right to say what they want or do what they want”. So if Sharpton actually believes what he says (of course I suppose it would bring up the question of what he said at what time) if Imus rapped the “nappy headed ho” comment, he would have been protected under the First Amendment. Apparently denigrating women in words is First Amendment protected provided they are in a song lyric.
What a wonderful moral authority he is. Now, on to Mr. Jackson.
Just last year, Jackson stated that he would finish paying the college tuition of the Duke Lacrosse “Rape Case” regardless of how the case turned out. Well within the last few days, we’ve seen how it turned out. Thrown out is more like it. I wonder if he would be willing to pay for the college tuition of the “over-privileged white kids” that were unfairly dragged through the mud?
In 1973, Jackson condemned then President Richard Nixon as being insensitive to the poor, since "four out of five [of Nixon's top advisors] are German Jews and their priorities are on Europe and Asia." In 1979, Jackson said that he had "seen very few Jewish reporters that have the capacity to be objective about Arab affairs." Well I wonder why that is? He also once stated "Zionism is a kind of poisonous weed that is choking Judaism" and that he was "sick and tired of hearing about the Holocaust." Jackson also referred to Jews as "Hymies" and New York as "Hymietown." Again, Freedom of Speech protection or double standard? In 2001, it was revealed that Jackson (married since 1962) had an affair with a staffer Karin Stanford that resulted in the birth of their daughter, Ashley. According to CNN, in August of 1999, The Rainbow Push Coalition had paid Stanford $15,000 in moving expenses and $21,000 in payment for contracting work. Separate from the 1999 Rainbow Coalition payments, Jackson pays $3,000 a month in child support. This incident prompted Jackson to withdraw from activism for a short period of time. In fact, while Jackson was counseling Clinton about his affair with Monica Lewinsky, he was impregnating his lover!
Lets not pretend that Mr. Jackson hasn’t made a career of holding companies hostage to his Rainbow/PUSH group over perceived injustices. In fact, he has threatened to boycott corporations over things that no one can even verify occurred all in an effort to make money.
Of course the Democrats have jumped all over the story as well. Not that the Democrats would have a double standard. Unless you consider that fact that Live Earth 2007, which is being touted by Al Gore has a concert line-up that includes, Kanye West, Akon, and Ludacris. All of whom have produced songs which degrades women and their own race. Or consider the fundraiser that rap mogul Timbaland hosted for Hillary Clinton at $1000 a head. Apparently some aren’t offended by lyrics and words if the person uttering them is on “their side” and is lining their fat little greedy pockets with cold hard cash.
When is the rest of America going to realize that these Sharpton, Jackson and some others are nothing more than race peddlers? Instead of somehow becoming the “moral authorities” for our country everyone should see them for the race pimps that they truly are. Ask yourself, if they were not around to fan the flames over every perceived slight, would racism finally end? One thing is for certain, they would have to get actual jobs! Let’s make one thing perfectly clear, you cannot take someone that is a die-hard racist and change him or her outside of God’s help. You can however, continue to spew forth the manure these two spread and turn someone into one. Martin Luther King once said that he had a dream. I fail to see that this is truly what he envisioned.

Open Letter To Voters
I recently sent this letter to our local newspaper. I don't know if they will print it due to it's length, but hopefully they will. Let me know how you feel about it!
An open letter to voters:
I have read over the past several days about the GOP's mishandling of everything from the Iraq War to the Foley debacle. Some would say that it is the death knell for the party, as most people would shy away and vote Democrat. I just wanted to take a moment and lay out in detail exactly what the Democratic Party being in power has cost us. Jimmy Carter was elected during the Cold War with the Soviet Union. His legacy includes: pardoning draft dodgers, stopping the B-1 bomber production, giving away the Panama Canal (which is now controlled by China), withdrew support from the Shah of Iran, a US ally at the time, thereby clearing the way from the current regime, our barracks in Beirut were bombed with no retaliation, kissed the Russian leader Leonid Brezhnev on the cheek shortly before his invasion of Afghanistan and allowed the Soviets to take communism to at least eight different countries. In his budget, he requested a 45% reduction of fighter aircraft, a 75% reduction in ships, an 85%reduction in submarines, and a 90% reduction in helicopters, all during the Cold War!
When Ronald Reagan took office, he inherited a 12% inflation rate, 21% interest rates, a ravaged military and a severe energy crisis. During the next eight years, he fought with Democrats for his economic and defense strategies, including the Strategic Defense Initiative (SDI). During this time, he moved nuclear missiles to Germany, to checkmate the Soviet threat. John Kerry wanted to impose a nuclear freeze that would have given the Soviets more firepower than we possessed. Democrats labeled his Strategic Defense Initiative "Star Wars" and made light of it. Doesn't seem like such a bad idea today does it? Reagan's tax cuts started a seven year period of growth which produced 20 million new jobs, interest rates dropped from 21% to 7.5%, inflation went from 12% to 3% and oil prices dropped when he removed the price controls on natural gas. In short, Reagan was right, the Democrats were wrong.
Several years later, Reagan stood firm against the Soviets and refused to end SDI research. Gorbachev, fearing that an initial first strike by the Soviets would be a failure, bowed to US pressure and the Soviet Empire crumbled, all without firing a shot. Gorbachev later said that he didn't think the Soviet collapse would have happened if not for Reagan.
Now I would like to discuss the Clinton legacy. During his not-so awe inspiring terms in Office, he blew numerous opportunities to capture or kill bin-Laden, roughly ten or more to be exact. All because of a fear of collateral damage, which apparently bin-Laden is not concerned with. Sure he had some Tomahawks fired and blew up an aspirin factory in Sudan and a few camels and tents in Afghanistan but that was the extent of his response. Osama bin-Laden has said that the US withdraw in Somalia emboldened them because American no longer had the stomach for bloodshed. Clinton ordered the troop withdraw under pressure from a Democratic Congress and America's brave men and women in the Armed Forces were left with a foul taste in their mouths. Other Clinton debacles include: bin-Laden's attempt to purchase weapons grade uranium to kill on a mass scale, first WTC bombing, Khobar Towers bombing, bin-Laden's declaration of "War on America" and calling for the murder of Americans wherever they can be found, US Embassies in Nairobi and Dar es Salaam bombed, and the US Cole being bombed. Could these things have happened under a Republican controlled Congress and Presidency, sure they could have. But recent experience would dictate that maybe the first few would have happened then we would have taken the fight to them, as we are doing now.
Other Democratic legacies include the legal barrier created by Janet Reno that prevented the sharing of information between the CIA and FBI prior to 9/11. Clinton administration officials selling defense technology to China, who is currently in the midst of a massive military buildup. The condemnation of current Democratic leaders of the NSA's efforts to intercept terrorist phone calls and bank transactions is another "feather" in the Democratic cap. Not only were they critical, they were more than willing to "leak" the information to the media, thereby warning our enemies.
America, we are at war. Mistakes are made in times of war. There have been mistakes made in Iraq, but to just force our brave men and women of the Armed Forces to bow their heads in shame and leave would be a deadly mistake. There is no dialog with terrorists. They only understand one thing, fear. Either we can have the fear, or we can create it in them. Quitting is not the answer in anything, much less the war on terror!
The question we must all ask ourselves is which party has shown to be more capable in defending this great nation? Is this truly the party which represents your values? Do you even know what the party now stands for? I believe that the current administration has proven it's willingness to make hard decisions in time of need. The Democratic Party has only shown a platform of condemning the Republican Party and a no-holds-barred, pull-out-all-the stops hunger at regaining power. I won't even begin to delve into the muck of loss of tax cuts, and appeasement attitudes that would come out of Washington if they do regain power. Simply put, don't base everything on things you read, including my opinion here. Do the research yourself instead of being spoon-fed everything. Your very existence may well depend on it.

DO YOU REMEMBER?
Do you remember where you were five years ago today?
SEPTEMBER 11, 2001

Do you remember how you felt when you first saw?
Do you remember when you first heard? How you felt? What you felt?

Was it anger?

Fear?

Sadness?

Resolve?

How do you think they felt?

Have we forgotten?

Have we forgotten why we are proud to be Americans?

What makes us unique?

Why others risk death to come to our shores?

Have you forgotten who thine enemy is?

Those that hide behind innocent lives, those that occupy caves for fear of our raised fist, those that plot the murder of innocents, those that plan the removal of a country and a way of life.....
Do you remember?
Do you care?
Do you dare rise up in defiance of those that wish your death? Your destruction?
Do you remember?
